Boil water notices have been issued for city water customers in some south Vicksburg neighborhoods as well as areas in the Yokena-Jeff Davis Water District.

City customers living in the Warrenton Subdivision, Redbone Road, Singing Hills Cove, Singing Hills, Hazel Drive and Burnie Drive are advised to boil water until further notice. A 6-inch water main on Belva Drive was broken, said Dane Lovell. About 100 homes are affected.

Also, about 100 Yokena-Jeff Davis customers in Buford Estates and on Ring Road from U.S. 61 South to 3360 Ring Road are also affected. The district said a main line was broken.
