Free tax prep offered at 412th headquarters
Free tax preparation is available at the 412th Engineer Command Headquarters on Porters Chapel Road.
Any service member, retiree or military spouse qualifies for the free electronic tax-filing service.

River Region doctor is award recipient
Dr. Thomas C. Moore of the Physician Practices of River Region has received the Academy of Pediatrics Continuing Medical Education/Continuing Professional Development Award.
The award recognizes academy members who have earned a minimum of 150 American Academy of Pediatrics Continuing Medical Education credits over three consecutive years. Moore’s award covers 2005 to 2007.
Moore has practiced in Vicksburg since 1997. His office is at the Street Clinic.
Media professional to speak at VAMP
Layne Bruce, executive director of the Mississippi Press Association, will be the featured speaker at the February meeting of the Vicksburg Association of Marketing Professionals.
The MPA was founded in 1866 and is a trade organization that represents Mississippi newspapers.
The luncheon will be at noon Feb. 3 at Ameristar Casino’s Heritage Buffet.

Web design class offered by Millsaps
Millsaps College will offer a one-day workshop called Designing Web Pages.
The class will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Teachers with full attendance will receive a 0.6 CEU.
Cost is $199, plus $10 for a CEU certificate.
