Rosetta Casey died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 81.

Mrs. Casey was a member and mother at Seven Star M.B. Church in Utica. She was a member of Heroines of Jericho, Court No. 494.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt and Bessie Henderson Barnes; her husband, Leon Casey Sr.; a daughter, Willie Beatrice Turner; and a granddaughter, Vicola Turner.

Survivors include two sons, Leon Casey Jr. and Harold Harding, both of Vicksburg; one daughter, Mary Rogers of Jackson; two brothers, Joe Banks and Charlie Banks, both of Chicago; three sisters, Katie M. Banks of Jackson and Margie Abdulla and Azzlee Whitley, both of Chicago; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Seven Star M.B. Church with the Rev. Michael Womack officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the service.
