Vicksburg Fire Department emergency personnel wheel Vicksburg Police Officer Bobby Jones to an ambulance on Halls Ferry Road at Lightcap Boulevard Thursday. Jones was injured when, in pursuit of a suspect and traveling at a high rate of speed, he lost control of his 2008 Chevrolet Impala cruiser and spun into a 2002 Toyota Camry driven by Rhonda Davis, 40, 145 Bradford Drive. Davis had been stopped on Halls Ferry. Neither Davis, nor her 12-year-old daughter who was in the car, was injured. Jones was treated and released from River Region Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said. At the time of the wreck, Jones had been pursuing a red Honda from Hinds County that police believed was driven by a suspect in another crime.
