Lawrence Morson Jr.

Lawrence Morson Jr. died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 85.
Born in Raymond, Mr. Morson had been a Vicksburg resident for the past 58 years. He was a carpenter for both Fordice and Moss construction companies.
He was a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War II. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall.
Mr. Morson was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Elizabeth Morson.
Survivors include one son, Larry Morson of Vicksburg; five daughters, Mary Elizabeth Morson, Ann Heidelberg and Kay McBroom, all of Vicksburg, Rose Heidelberg of Newton and Kathy Watts of Texarkana, Ark.; a brother, John Morson Sr. of Vicksburg; two sisters, Kate Lloyd of Lincoln, Neb., and Minnie Kratz of Grand Junction, Colo.; and 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Kenneth Beard officiating.
