Belinda Turnipseed-Alexander and Wendell Barnes Sr. announce the engagement of their daughter, Taisha Quina Barnes, to Anthony Lamont Marbley. Mr. Marbley is the son of the late Nina Lee Herron and the late Robert “Bobby” Truitt.

Miss Barnes is the granddaughter of Margaret Eloise Blackmon, the late David “Lab” Turnipseed and the late Lizzie May and Jessie Barnes.

Mr. Marbley is the grandson of the late Lena and Amos Marbley.

The bride-elect is a 1994 graduate of Port Gibson High School. She is employed at Baylor Medical Center of Frisco, Texas.

The prospective groom is a 1994 graduate of Port Gibson High School.  He is employed at Russell Newman Inc. of Texas.

Vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. May 2, 2009, at Magnolia M.B. Church of Port Gibson. A reception will follow at Moments to Remember, 1085 Market St. in Port Gibson. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
