Vicksburg High stormed past Yazoo City, 5-2, in tennis action Friday at Halls Ferry Park. The Gators’ five winners didn’t drop a set, and only lost 11 games.

Donald Brown won in boys’ singles 6-0, 6-2 and Christine Figueroa was a 6-0, 6-0 winner in girls’ singles. In doubles, Perry Wolfe and Fritz Valerio won their boys’ match 6-3, 6-1, and Catherine and Charlene Figueroa were 6-0, 6-1 winners on the girls’ side. Perry Tolliver and Grace Ga-as completed the victory with a 6-3, 6-1 rout in mixed doubles.
