Harvey T. Luckett died Friday, April 3, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 79.

Born in Warren County, Mr. Luckett was the son of the late William P. Luckett and Mable Ione Russell Luckett. He was a warehouse supervisor with Union Compress Company with 35 years of service. Mr. Luckett was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Wright Luckett of Vicksburg; a daughter, Debbie L. Duke and her husband Phillip of Pearl; two sons, Jerry Luckett and his wife Lisa of Vicksburg, and Sidney Luckett and his wife Sandra of Pearl; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Luckett, Jeffrey Luckett, Casey Pearson, and her husband Jim, Jennifer Payne and her husband Abb, David Duke, James Luckett, Candice Luckett; and two great-grandchildren, Ariel Self and Addison Pearson.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Clemts, Pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. today.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Luckett, David Duke, James Luckett, Billy Gene Wright, J.W. Wright, Jim Pearson, Bobby Stout and Abb Payne.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Dement, Ken Breland, Herman Biedenharn, Warner Biedenharn, Claude Wright Sr. and the Men’s Sunday School Class of Southside Baptist Church.
