Woman accused of forgery of family check

A Vicksburg woman was in the Warren County Jail this morning, charged with forging a family member’s check.

Angel Carraway, 26, 3874 Mississippi 27, surrendered to Warren County Sheriff’s Department at 2:10 p.m. Monday after a warrant was issued for her arrest when a family member filed a charge against her for forging her name on their check, jail records said.

She was charged with uttering a forgery, jail records said.

She was released on a $1,000 bond.

CD player, rings missing in thefts

An auto burglary was reported in the city and a theft was reported in the county on Monday.

• A Pioneer amplifier valued at $500 and an Alpine CD player valued at $490 were reported missing at 6:45 a.m. from a 1991 Acura in the 3100 block of South Frontage Road.

• Three gold rings, no value given, were reported missing at 12:20 p.m. from a stadium concession stand in the 1000 block of Mississippi 27.
