A children’s television show produced at Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s studios in Jackson has received national recognition, the network has announced.
“Between the Lions” received the Parents’ Choice Gold Award, the highest honor from the nation’s oldest nonprofit guide to children’s media and toys. The Parents’ Choice Foundation uses educators, scientists, performing artists, librarians, parents and kids to identify the best products and resources for children.
“Between the Lions” was created to improve child literacy and is also an educational program. The curriculum is being taught in Vicksburg, at Good Shepherd Community Center Preschool, through a partnership with Vicksburg Rotary.
