Holdiness to wed McCourt

Ricky and Linda Holdiness of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Kira Michelle, to Jason Michael McCourt. Mr. McCourt is the son of Karen McCourt and the late Michael McCourt of Monroe, La.
Miss Holdiness is the granddaughter of Lois Holdiness and the late Bill Holdiness and MaryAnn and Jerry Simmons, all of Vicksburg.
Mr. McCourt is the grandson of Kay Hamilton and the late Robert Hamilton of West Monroe and the late Lori and Peter McCourt of Monroe.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of DECA, SkillsUSA and Mu Alpha Theta honor society.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in radiologic technology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi fraternity, Alpha Lambda Delta honor society, Chi Beta Gamma and Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.
Miss Holdiness is employed at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of St. Frederick Catholic High School, where he was on the baseball team. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he served as a Student Government Association senator and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, Alpha Lambda Delta honor society and Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.
Mr. McCourt is employed at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Vows will be exchanged at 2 p.m. June 13, 2009, at St. Paul Catholic Church. A reception will follow in the ballroom at The Vicksburg. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
