Hodges weds Atkins

Jay Lee Hodges and Amy Suzanne Atkins were married at 5 p.m. March 14, 2009, at Hawkins United Methodist Church. Chris Young officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Linda Martin of Vicksburg and Parker and Nancy Atkins of Wisconsin. She is the granddaughter of Thomas and Ann Oakes, Sue Flathau and the late Parker Atkins Sr., all of Vicksburg.
The groom is the son of Patsy Hodges and the late James Wesley Hodges of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Hilton Holley of Lexington.
Given in marriage by Jim Martin, the bride’s chosen colors were oasis blue and silver.
A program of nuptial music was presented by Ann Perrier, pianist, and Nicole Hoffman, soloist.
Matron of honor was Morgan Yates of Vicksburg. Attending the bride were James Randall and Ashley Randall, both of Slidell, La.; Kandice Atkins of Hattiesburg; Angel Woods of Brandon; and Amy Winpigler of Olive Branch.
Flower girl was Perrin Jackson of Grenada.
Rick Williams of Monroe, La., served as best man. Groomsmen were Don Mosely, Christopher Woods and Brody Henley, all of Vicksburg; Nicholas Woods of Brandon; and Jordan Berry of Madison.
Ushers were Michael Atkins and Ryan Atkins, both of Wisconsin, and Rod Easley of Brookhaven.
Ring bearer was Logan Hodges of Carrollton.
Special wedding assistant was Julie Ford.
A reception followed the ceremony at the church’s Abundant Life Center.
Hostesses were Pauly Oakes, René Garner, Lin Cheslek and Carol Fox.
For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Gatlinburg, Tenn.
They will make their home in Vicksburg. The bride is employed at Vicksburg Intermediate School, and the groom is employed at L.D. O’Mire Financial Services and Aflac Insurance.
