A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning for running away from Warren County deputies and Mississippi Highway Patrol on Mississippi 27 early Sunday morning.

Jamaal D. Stowers, 20, 30-D King Drive, was arrested at 12:44 a.m. after he attempted to run from authorities after he was stopped for driving about 120 mph on Mississippi 27, said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.

Stowers stopped his car at a convenience store at Mississippi 27 and U.S. 80, unsuccessfully trying to make a U-turn and jumped out and ran, said Pace.
