PORT GIBSON — Services for Emily Jo Walters Hynum will be at 2 today at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. Gage Hynum officiating. Burial will follow at Cane Ridge Cemetery in Lorman.

Mrs. Hynum died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 77.

Born in Smith County, Mrs. Hynum lived in Vicksburg and Port Gibson most of her life. She was a retired cosmetologist and a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin H. Walters and P.W. Hynum; her parents, J.D. Windham and Katherine H. Windham; and one brother and seven sisters.

Survivors include one son, Rodney Walters of Eagle Lake; two stepsons, Donald Hynum of Port Gibson and Michael Hynum of Vicksburg; two stepdaughters, Paula Jones and Patricia Bryant, both of Vicksburg; one brother, Lee Windham of Hermanville; seven stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Jones, Timmy Hynum, Josh Hynum, Doug Tanner, Jeff Mac Segrest and Wayne Windham.
