A blood drive for a Vicksburg resident awaiting a liver transplant will be Saturday at Warren Central High School.
The drive for Juan LaSalle, 49, will be from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
LaSalle is on a list of potential transplant recipients awaiting a donor and will have the surgery at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.
In order to replace the blood expected to be needed for the surgery, Life Blood, a Memphis-based blood donor program, has scheduled the blood drive.
Advance registration is not necessary. Blood donors must be at least 17 years of age, 110 pounds and in good health.
