Kimball L. Tyler

CARY — Kimball L. Tyler died Monday, June 29, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 64.

Born in Cary, Mr. Tyler served in the Air Force from 1964 until 1968 and served at Ton San Nhut Air Base in the Vietnam War. He was in the Ohio National Guard 1972-1973 and had been employed by the U.S. Government at Norton Air Force Base near Los Angeles.

Mr. Tyler was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Anguilla.

He is survived by Edna Mae Mitchell of Cary; five sisters, Agnes Tindle of Butler, Ala., Lois Cockrell of Phil Campbell, Ala., Alice Stephens of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., Mary Eldridge of Reno, Nev., and Linda L. Horn of Meridian; two half-sisters, Lois M. McGoree of Quitman and Johnnie L. Gatlin of McGeehee, Ark.; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork. Burial will follow at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the service at the funeral home.
