Miss Ford to marry Newman in McComb

The engagement of Rebecca Jean Ford of McComb to Daniel Hunter Newman of Liberty is announced today. The wedding will be at 5 p.m. Aug. 8, 2009, at First Baptist Church of McComb. A reception will follow at the Horace Holmes Student Union on the campus of Southwest Mississippi Community College. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Miss Ford is the daughter of Ronnie and Darlene K. Lindsey of McComb and Dr. John and Judy Ford of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Herschel and Martha Kilgore and Lona Lindsey and the late Bob Lindsey, all of McComb, and Johnny Mae Price and the late Carol and Bobbie Mae Ford of Vicksburg.
Mr. Newman is the son of Bub and Cindy Newman of Liberty. He is the grandson of Gale Newman and the late Lloyd Newman Jr. of Liberty and the late Bill and Virginia Wilson of Terry’s Creek.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of McComb High School. She received a degree in kinesiology from Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.
Miss Ford is pursuing a physical therapy degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Amite School Center. He received a degree in agricultural engineering technology and business from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Newman is a surveyor for MapTech in Brandon.
