Laura Mae Clemis died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 87.

She was a retired head cook from Hinds Community College and a member of Greater Mount Zion M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Bradford and Clotie Wells; her husband, Morris Clemis; and her four sons, Melvin Taylor, Johnny Wells, Lonnie Taylor and Herbert Bradford.

Survivors include two daughters, Letitia Badger of Jackson and Betty Davis of Vicksburg; one brother, Richard Bradford of Raymond; 40 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
