The second B’nai B’rith Literary Club, at the northwest corner of Clay and Walnut streets, burned in about 1915. The club later was rebuilt — that building stands on the same spot today — and eventually was used by the City of Vicksburg as the headquarters for the Vicksburg Police Department before it was sold by the city to private individuals who rent it today for social functions. The first BB club was in the Balfour House, on the southeast corner of Cherry and Crawford streets.
