Michael Anthony Dotson Sr. died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 46.

Mr. Dotson was a member of The House of Israel Hebrew Culture Center and a 1982 graduate of Warren Central High School. He received an associate degree in auto mechanics from Hinds Community College. He formerly was employed by George Carr Motors, The Vicksburg Post and Speediprint.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tommie Dotson Sr.; and two brothers, James Morris and Albert Dotson.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Smith Dotson of Vicksburg; a son, Mekahel Dotson Jr. of Vicksburg; a daughter, Ashera Dotson of Vicksburg; his mother, Jeanette Dotson of Vicksburg; eight brothers, Tommy Dotson Jr., Derrick Dotson and Jerrick Dotson, all of Vicksburg, Lemuel Dotson, Jimmy Dotson, Clarence Dotson and Walter Lee Dotson, and Willie Dotson, all of Canton, Ohio; eight sisters, Tommiesine Jenkins of Jackson, Mary N. Dotson and Wynona Dotson, both of Vicksburg, Essie Bee Kings, Earlene Dotson and Betty Dotson, all of Canton, Ohio, Clara Moore of Chicago and Joeann Turner of Raleigh, Miss.; and other relatives and friends.
