10 arraigned, one no-billed in Sharkey grand jury session

In Sharkey County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday, the August term of the grand jury met and reviewed evidence against 13 defendants.
The jury issued indictments against 12, with one defendant no-billed for lack of evidence.
Ten of the indicted defendants were arraigned by presiding Circuit Court Judge Isadore Patrick. Arrest warrants were issued for two defendants who did not appear for arraignment. On Friday, both were in custody and scheduled to be arraigned at the next Sharkey County court session.
Names of those indicted are released only after arraignment.
Arraigned were:
• Bryan W. Bridges, 24, 25 Laurel St., Anguilla — possession of a controlled substance and possession of precursor substances, Oct. 16.
• Elton Brown, 20, 325 E. Second St., Anguilla — nonresidential burglary, July 30.
• Lazerick Dunson, 25, 77 Washington, Rolling Fork — aggravated assault-domestic violence, May 5.
• Nora Fuller Jr., 24, 136 Trailer Park Lane, Anguilla — nonresidential burglary, July 30.
• Tommy Johnson, 19, Highway 61, Anguilla — nonresidential burglary, July 30.
• Curtis Lewis, 28, no street address available, Delta City — aggravated assault-domestic violence, May 23.
• Anthony Singleton, 34, no street address available, Panther Burn — possession of controlled substance, April 1.
• Jimmy Dale Washington, 22, 121 Oakwood St., Anguilla — nonresidential burglary, July 30.
• Robert Terrell Watts, 19, 189 Worthington, Rolling Fork — nonresidential burglary, April 26.
• Allen Windom, 19, 37 Holland St., Anguilla — nonresidential burglary, July 30.
No-billed was Brandy Keys, 18, who had been charged with aggravated assault April 9.
This was the final grand jury term for Sharkey County in 2009, having previously been convened Jan. 12 and April 6.
Separately, in Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:
• Grant Jones, 20, 2224 Oak St., pleaded guilty to grand larceny and was sentenced by Circuit Court M. James Chaney to be enrolled in the Ninth Circuit Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus fines totaling $1,822.50. Jones was arrested July 1.
