Wallace to marry Byrnes Sept. 12

Kaylis Claire Wallace and Dr. Jonathan Winfrey Byrnes will be married at 6 p.m. Sept. 12, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Madison. A reception will follow at the Jackson Yacht Club.
Miss Wallace is the daughter of Pam Wallace of Canton. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wallace of Canton and Clarice Pittman and the late Earl Wright Pittman of Sunflower.
Dr. Byrnes is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Byrnes of Carlisle. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Cook of Brandon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Burton Byrnes Sr. of Carlisle.
The bride-elect is an honor graduate of Madison Ridgeland Academy, attended Mississippi State University and is a 2008 cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and served as vice president of the Fashion Board at MSU.
While attending UMC, she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau honor society of nursing and served as vice president of her class.
Miss Wallace is a registered nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
The prospective groom is a 1996 honor graduate of Chamberlain-Hunt Military Academy, where he was salutatorian and battalion commander.
In 2000, he graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
He received a Doctorate of Medicine in 2005 from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he was student body vice president and completed a residency in pediatric medicine in 2008.
Dr. Byrnes is practicing as a pediatric critical care and cardiology fellow at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
