Mike Donovan of Vicksburg tries out his new alcohol-powered Vector control line airplane at the River City Radio Club airfield on Halls Ferry Road. Donovan, who has made more than 50 planes from scratch, is a member of the River City Radio Club and the Dallas Model Airplane Association, where he competes in maneuver competitions.
