Jane Skinner, right, and her mother, Shirley Skinner, check out Isabel Adams’ quilt, which won Best in Show at the Warren County Homemaker Volunteers’ Cultural Arts Exhibit. The hand- and machine-embroidered quilt was made from discarded wedding dresses. A total of 131 items was entered in the exhibit, and 117 blue ribbons were awarded. The blue-ribbon winners will advance to the state fair in Jackson in October.
