LUCEDALE — E.J. “Jack” Miller died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, in Lucedale. He was 83.

Mr. Miller retired as a school administrator from Stone and George County schools. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lucedale, where he was a deacon and a Sunday school teacher and director.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann B. Miller; his parents, William A. Miller and Edith E. Miller; and four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Miller of Vicksburg and Steve Miller of Columbia; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Service in Wiggins. Burial will follow at Wiggins City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
