McNeal, Ethridge recite vows Aug. 1 in Jackson

Tyler Seth McNeal and Amy Elizabeth Ethridge were married at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 1, 2009, at the Chapel of First Baptist Church in Jackson. The Rev. Dr. Steve Ethridge, uncle of the groom, officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Betsy Harbaugh and Tim Ethridge, both of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Waring of Vicksburg and Mr. and Mrs. Loyde Ethridge of Hartwell, Ga.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug McNeal of Meridian. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ray McNeal, Hazel Spence and the late James Jones, all of Meridian.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were Tiffany blue and brown.
Music was provided by the Jackson String Quartet.
Maid of honor was Dr. Angela Ethridge, sister of the bride, of Salt Lake City, Utah. Bridesmaids were Ashley Baker of Vicksburg, Ashley Waring of Jackson and Sarah Owen of Birmingham, Ala.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Patrick Ware of Jackson, Adam Leister of Meridian and Jonathan Reed of Pineville.
A reception followed at the Forestry Auditorium.
For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Ambergris Caye, Belize.
They will make their home in Brandon. The bride is community development specialist for the Central Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the groom is a customer service representative at Republic Finance.
Announcement party
Mr. and Mrs. Andy Waring and Mr. and Mrs. John Owen hosted an announcement party at the Waring home in Jackson.
Wedding party weekend
A wedding party weekend for the bride, groom, bridesmaids and groomsmen was held in Orange Beach, Ala.
Showers
Cathy and Richie Sowell, Brenda Carey and Hazel Spence honored the bride with a shower.
The bride’s co-workers at the American Red Cross honored her with a surprise shower.
Millie Waring, Ashley Waring, Sarah Owen and Angela Ethridge hosted a lingerie shower for the bride.
