Miss O’Neal to marry Mr. Brown on Oct. 24

The engagement of Kimela O’Neal to Alfred R. Brown III, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. Oct 24, 2009, at the Knights of Columbus. A reception will follow. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss O’Neal is the daughter of Mary O’Neal and the late Johnny O’Neal Sr. of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Willie B. Hill and the late Keller Hill and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Elmore of Vicksburg.

Mr. Brown is the son of the late Alfred R. Brown II and the late Minnie P. Brown-Hite of Mayersville. He is the grandson of the Rev. A.R. and Teresa Brown of Vicksburg and the late Eddie and Georgia Ford of Mayersville.

The bride-elect is a 1986 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she was in the band. She attended Hinds Community College and Alcorn State University.

Miss O’Neal is an administrative specialist with HX5 Inc.

The prospective groom is a 1982 graduate of Rolling Fork High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from Alcorn State University, where he was a member of Who’s Who.

Mr. Brown is a truck driver for ACW Inc.
