Interstate 20 wreck

Traffic is diverted around an 18-wheeler that jackknifed Thursday afternoon on Interstate 20, just east of the Halls Ferry Road exit. Westbound in the 2010 Kenworth was Ted Colquitt, 42, 330 Pitts Chapel Road, Newborn, Ga. Also involved in the wreck was a 2005 Freightliner driven by Ralph Anderson, address unavailable, Poteau, Okla. No injuries were reported, said Bobby Jones, a Vicksburg police patrolman. Colquitt was forced to put on brakes quickly to avoid traffic that was backed up due to work on the I-20 Mississippi River bridge. It had also been raining heavily. Rush-hour delays are expected through next week. (Meredith Spencer*The Vicksburg Post)
