Surveillance tape shows beauty-products thief

Beauty products and a TV were reported missing in Vicksburg, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Two bottles of hair conditioner valued at $12.58 each and assorted jewelry valued at about $500 were reported stolen from Beauty Touch, 1504 Washington St., at 4:34 this morning.

Stewart said someone entered the store by breaking the front door glass.

“Surveillance showed a black male wearing a camouflage jacket with a hood and white pants enter through the door and exit the door,” Stewart said. “While canvassing the area, police recovered the conditioner and the jewelry near the parking lots on Castle Alley.”

No arrest had been made.

Separately, a 20-inch LCD Emerson TV valued at $500 was reported stolen from a home in the 100 block of Waltersville Street at 3:21 p.m. Tuesday.

Vicksburg man jailed for county drug court

A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail today for drug court sanction, records showed.

Albert Jones, 25, 519 Heartwood Drive, was held being without bond.

Three treated after three wrecks in city

Three car wrecks landed three people in River Region Medical Center.

Christiana Carter, 30, 4303 Tanglewood Drive, was in a wreck near 3046 Indiana Avenue at 4:57 Tuesday afternoon.

Reginald Robertson, 22, 300 Claxton St., Tallulah, was in an accident at Halls Ferry Road and Interstate 20 at 11:04 a.m. Monday.

Fred Carr, 72, 299 Thomasville Road, Florence, was in a wreck at Halls Ferry Road and Interstate 20 at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.

All three were treated and released from River Region, hospital spokesman Allen Karel said.

Port Gibson woman pays off bad check

A Port Gibson woman was released from the Warren County Jail Tuesday after paying off bad checks, a jail spokesman said.

Tameaka Tate, 27, 1007 Hardges Drive, who had been held on a felony bad check charge, was released on direction of the Warren County District Attorney’s Office.
