Harold V. McDaniel

NEWELLTON — Harold V. McDaniel died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at his home. He was 74.

Mr. McDaniel was born in Newellton and had lived most of his life there. He was a graduate of LSU and a member of First Baptist Church of Newellton, the American Legion, Davidson-Perry Post No. 174. He was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Donham McDaniel of Newellton; one daughter, Carol Denise Boudreaux of Gonzales, La.; two sons, Stacy McDaniel of Holden, La., and Stephen McDaniel of League City, Texas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Campbell, officiating and the Rev. Fulton McGraw assisting. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow at Legion Cemetery with Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers will be Justin McDaniel, Stacy McDaniel Jr., Michael McDaniel, Sampre’ Landry, Joshua Landry, Gayle Boudreaux and Eric Ouber.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Davidson-Perry Post No. 174 American Legion of Newellton.
