Margaret G. Goodman

A loving mother and “Nannie,” Margaret G. Goodman was a native of Petersburg, Va., and a resident of Vicksburg. She passed away at the age of 83 on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, surrounded by her family.
She was a retired machine operator with Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corp. in Virginia. After retiring, she relocated to Louisiana and Mississippi, where she lovingly raised four generations of children.
Mrs. Goodman was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. Williamson Sr. and Arie B. Williamson; her husband, Jimmy Goodman; and two brothers, Preston Williamson and Charles Williamson Jr.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Baxter of Vicksburg; two sons, Charles Wilcox and wife, Pam, of Ipswich, Mass., and Tommy Lee Wilcox of Colonial Heights, Va.; two brothers, Emmitte Williamson and Railey Williamson, both of Colonial Heights; a granddaughter, Barbara Sliman and husband, Fred, of Baton Rouge; great-grandchildren, Kasey Givens and Kaitlyn Sliman, both of Baton Rouge; great-great-grandchild, Lorelei Parker of Baton Rouge; extended family son, Ronnie Lowery; a daughter, Judy Ainsworth; grandchildren, Jeremy and Peggy Brister, Jaime and Roy Simmons and Jenny Lowery; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Brister, Makayla A’leeyah, Gage and Malik Moore, all of Vicksburg.
