Jerry E. Uzzle Sr. died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 64.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, he was the son of the late Fred and Bessie Brooks Uzzle.

He owned Jerry’s Fish Market for a number of years and was a deer hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Uzzle; two sisters, Lois Brett and Jo Carol Ross; and a son, Jerry Uzzle Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Lewis of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Brenda Burton of Vicksburg; one son, Johnny Uzzle of Vicksburg; two brothers, Fred Uzzle Jr. of Vicksburg and Steve Uzzle of Brookhaven; a sister, Carolyn Fraser of Memphis; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. today at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. James Hess officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the service.
