Vergie M. Mitchell died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 80.

Mrs. Mitchell was a resident of Utica and a member of Belmont M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mitchell; a son, Eugene Mitchell; her parents, Tommy Casey and Jimmie Eatmon; a sister, Alice Casey; and three brothers, Ervin Shears, George Casey and Tommy Casey Jr.
