A Bolton man was jailed early this morning after a vehicle and foot chase that included his jumping out of a running car.

Kevin Terence Watts, 24, 2201 N. Norrell Road, was eastbound in a 1996 Jeep Cherokee on Clay near Hope Street when Deputy Chris Satcher spotted the Jeep driving erratically, Sheriff Martin Pace said. Satcher followed the Jeep east on Clay, through a turn onto North Frontage Road and onto Haley’s Point Road, a dead end street, where Watts jumped from the Cherokee while it was “rolling at 15 or 20 miles an hour,” Pace said.

Watts was tracked on foot through woods and captured about 30 minutes after the chase began at 2:15.
