Tom Carter Jr. died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 70.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Carter Sr. and Laura B. Carter; two brothers, Samuel Carter and James Carter; a son, Donnelle Young; and a daughter, Chenara Young.

Survivors include three daughters, Hazel Jones of Memphis, Gloria Jean Young and LaKisha Young, both of Atlanta; two sons, Gregory Jenkins and Fred Jenkins, both of Vicksburg; three sisters, Inez Williams of Pontiac, Mich,, Alfreda Moore of Troy, Mich., and Ellen Baldwin of Vicksburg; three brothers, James Jenkins of Jackson, William Carter and Robert Carter, both of Vicksburg; numerous grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
