Vicksburg firefighters battle a fire being investigated as an arson at 1402 Main St., a vacant house, Tuesday afternoon. The blaze, which destroyed the house, also damaged vacant homes, all near the intersection with First North Street, on both sides at 1400 and 1404 Main, said Vicksburg Fire Investigator Leslie Decareaux. All three houses are owned by the estate of James Buie. Decareaux said no suspects had been identified and no injuries were reported. (Katie Carter*The Vicksburg Post)
