Mr. Dean marries Miss Brasfield

Mason Scott Dean and Rachel Marie Brasfield were married at 2 p.m. March 27, 2010, at First Christian Church. Dr. David Felty officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Jody Brasfield of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Edgar and Jeanette Brasfield of Brandon and the late Thomas and Autney Jeff of Leeds, Ala.

The groom is the son of Scott and Bobbie Dean of Boyle. He is the grandson of Felix and Rowena Dean of Boyle and Bobby and Frances McCarty of Cleveland.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were lavender and white.

Maid of honor was Amy Aletha Crouse of Vicksburg. Matron of honor was Mallory Howell Henley of Vicksburg. Bridesmaids were Ashley Elaine Brasfield of Navarre Beach, Fla., and Kellie Elizabeth Hawkins of Laurel Springs, N.J.

Junior bridesmaid was Mc-Karlee Dean Ingram, niece of the groom, of Batesville.

Chase Allio Gilbert of Cleveland served as best man. Groomsmen were Cody Robinson of Cleveland, Benjamin Michael Brasfield of Vicksburg, Joseph Clay Moody of Shaw and Wade Springer of Boyle.

Ring bearers were Kylan Reid Jordan of Vicksburg and Larson William Ingram, nephew of the groom, of Batesville.

Amanda Nowell and Anthony “Dalton” Nowell Jr. of Vicksburg served as program attendants. Special wedding assistant was Alisha Blackmon of Vicksburg.

A reception followed at Wilsonwood Lodge. Guests were entertained with a song by Julie Crouse.

The couple will make their home in Vicksburg. The bride is a long-term substitute at Redwood Elementary, and the groom is a firefighter with the Vicksburg Fire Department.

Rehearsal dinner

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Wilsonwood Lodge on the eve of the wedding. Special assistant was Kevin Roberts.

Bridesmaids’ luncheon

Faye Cowart, Cheri Howell and Mallory Henley hosted a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Monsour’s the day before the wedding. The bride chose this time to present gifts to her bridesmaids.

Bachelorette party

The bride’s attendants honored her with a weekend bachelorette party at Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, Ala.

The groom’s attendants honored him with a bachelor party in Nashville, Tenn.

Showers

The bride was honored with a miscellaneous shower at First Christian Church. Hostesses were Joylene Carter, Dr. Susan Chiarito, Aletha Crouse, Susan Dill, Fawn Francis, Marsha Gay, Ann Heltzel, Vivian Hilderbrand, Karen Jones, Ann Page and Avis Phillips.

The bride was honored with a miscellaneous shower at the home of Ann Haden. Co-hostesses were Marla Bonelli, Kathy Castellane, Deborah Clanton, Melba Mitchell, Linda Renshler, Jane Richards, Janell Thames, Gale Waites, Lois Wilson and Joy Wing.

Anna Burnett Brown, Amy Crouse, Mallory Henley and Alisha Blackmon honored the bride with a miscellaneous shower at the Brown home.

The bride was honored with a Pampered Chef shower hosted by Pam May, Denise Hluska and Lynn Johnston.
