Robert Taylor died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at his home. He was 63.

Mr. Taylor was of the Baptist faith. He was a self-employed diesel mechanic and a former employee of Anderson-Tully Co. and U.S. Rubber.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Taylor Sr. and Mary Whitney; and two brothers, George Taylor Jr. and Charles Taylor.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Taylor of Vicksburg; two sons, Reginald Taylor and Ryan Taylor, both of Vicksburg; a daughter, Linda Smith of Vicksburg; two brothers, Donald Jordan of Jackson and Frank Taylor of Chicago; five sisters, Edna Hamilton, Victoria Johnson, Juanita Sheriff and Christine Taylor, all of Jackson, and Carolyn Scott of Waukegan, Ill.; one grandchild; and aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rohelia Cemetery in Utica. Burial, directed by Williams Funeral Service, will follow.
