8 sentenced in Warren County Circuit Court

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:
• Leon Deon Bryant, 33, 4920 Halls Ferry Road, pleaded guilty to simple assault on a law enforcement officer and escape from confinement and was sentenced by Judge Isadore Patrick to 10 years in prison plus $1,322.50 in fines and costs; and to sale of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Patrick to eight years in prison followed by five years of probation and $322.50 in costs. The sentences are to be served consecutively. Bryant was arrested Jan. 15, 2008, on the drug charge, and indicted May 10 by the Warren County Grand Jury on the assault and escape charges.
• Eric Deion Ferguson, 21, 319 Belva Drive, found guilty April 27 of violating probation, with sentencing held in abeyance, was sentenced by Patrick to the Mississippi Department of Corrections Restitution Center at Hinds County to pay $2,197 in restitution, fines and costs, followed by probation in accordance with his original sentence dated May 25, 2007 (not specified). Ferguson was arrested Sept. 13, 2006, for two counts of burglary of a dwelling.
• Robert Hawkins, 33, 213 Demby Drive, pleaded guilty to sale of cocaine and possession of cocaine and was sentenced by Patrick to eight years in prison followed by five years of probation, plus $6,245 in fines and costs. Hawkins was arrested Feb. 29, 2008.
• Jason Donnell Lane, 23, 1103 Jefferson St., No. 6, found guilty April 27 of violating probation, with sentencing held in abeyance, was sentenced by Patrick to one year in prison followed by one year in the MDOC Intensive Supervision Program (house arrest) and one year of probation, plus $524.25 in restitution, fines and costs. Lane was arrest Jan. 25, 2007, for shoplifting.
• Darryl Lee Williams, 17, 1312 Bowmar Ave., pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced by Judge M. James Chaney to two years in prison followed by three years of probation, plus $1,522.50 in restitution, fines and costs. Williams was arrested Nov. 22, 2008.
• Deshawn M. Williams, 18, 199 B Elizabeth Circle, pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced by Chaney to five years in prison followed by five years of probation, plus $1,847.50 in restitution, fines and costs. Williams was arrested May 12, 2009.
• Mark Wilson, 37, 517 Dabney St., pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Chaney to the Ninth Circuit Court Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus $2,322.50 in fines and costs. Wilson was arrested July 20.
• Anthony Lamar Wright, 37, address unavailable, pleaded guilty to burglary of a business and was sentenced by Chaney to seven years in prison plus $653.50 in restitution, fines and costs. Wright was arrested Oct. 15.
