Price to marry Monti on Sept. 25

Dr. and Mrs. Richard E. Price of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Helen of New York, N.Y., to John Thomas Monti, also of New York. Mr. Monti is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Charles Monti of Troy, Mich.

Miss Price is the granddaughter of the late A.W. “Jack” Price Sr. and Eleanor Price and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray D. Roberts, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. Monti is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cavanaugh and Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Monti, all of Royal Oak, Mich.

The bride-elect graduated with honors in 2000 from Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2004. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, serving as recruitment chairman, community service chair and Greek Life recruitment counselor.

Miss Price is a senior interior designer at Elizabeth Curtis Design, the New York office of Paris interior designer Jacques Grange of Didier Aaron. She is a National Council for Interior Design qualification certificate holder, LEED accredited professional and a member of DAR.

The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Troy High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and served as captain of the hockey team and president of the senior class.

He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with emphases in finance and accounting in 2003 from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. He was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity, serving as president in 2001.

Mr. Monti is associate director in Technology Group at UBS Investment Research. He is a chartered financial analyst and member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.

Vows will be exchanged at 3 p.m. Sept. 25, 2010, at St. Paul Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club.
