The body of a Tallulah man who had been reported missing Monday was found Wednesday, apparently the victim of a one-vehicle wreck off Interstate 20 in Madison Parish, officials said.

Lee G. Felts, 57, had been partially ejected from a 2006 Dodge pickup when the westbound truck ran off the highway about 12 miles west of Vicksburg. He was not wearing a seat belt, said a spokesman for Louisiana State Police Troop F.

The truck traveled through a ditch embankment and struck several trees before coming to rest in a field, police said.

Felts was pronounced dead at the scene by the Madison Parish Coroner’s Office.

Troopers said the truck was not visible from the highway, but was discovered by a passing motorist who noticed damage to trees along the Interstate Wednesday.
