Top-notch care

In 1952 I arrived in Vicksburg to be pastor of First Baptist Church. Thirty years laster I retired. After the death of my first wife a few months later, I moved from Vicksburg. My heart, however, always remained in this fine city.
For many years my dearly beloved friend, Dr. Paul W. Pierce III, has been my physician. In recent months it was deemed necessary for me to see a cardiologist, and I was referred to Dr. Paul W. Pierce IV. Such a fine young man and a great addition to Vicksburg’s medical community. Surgery was recommended. It was performed by Dr. Eugene Ferris, a gifted surgeon and a kind, caring, compassionate gentleman. Dr. John Adams, with whom my wife had worked previously in Jackson, served as my anesthesiologist. Vicki was very happy to learn that Dr. Adams would also be caring for me at the time of surgery. The staff we encountered at River Region Medical Center was professional and kind and we appreciated their fine care.
Vicksburg is blessed to have very gifted and compassionate physicians. I have been most grateful for the four fine gentlemen who have cared for me in recent months. I plan to continue to receive my medical care in my beloved Vicksburg.
