A Vicksburg man was arrested in Natchez Friday evening on a grand larceny charge stemming from an auto burglary reported Thursday, Vicksburg police Sgt. Sandra Williams said.

James Frank Webb, 63, 1124 South St., apt. 1, was to have his initial appearance in court this morning. Webb was listed on the National Crime Information Center database, which led to his capture by Natchez authorities, Williams said. He was transferred to Vicksburg to be charged, then to Issaquena County Jail early Saturday morning, where he remained held without bond as of this morning.

Williams said a companion of Webb’s filed charges against him on Thursday, claiming Webb had dropped the victim off at a casino July 15 and never returned with the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier.
