PORT GIBSON — Maurice White died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 30.

Mr. White was preceded in death by a son, Maurice White Jr.; his paternal grandparents, George and Annie White; his maternal grandfather, Eli Sayles; and an aunt, Jania White.

Survivors include his father, George White Jr. of Port Gibson; his mother, Annie Sayles-White of Port Gibson; maternal grandmother, Hattie Sayles of Pattison; a daughter, Maurisha White of Port Gibson; a brother, George White III of Port Gibson; four sisters, Yulonda White-Craft of Utica; Shalonda White, Omega White and Alicia Wilson, all of Pattison; and nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Burner M.B. Church with the Rev. Ray Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Church Cemetery in Pattison. Visitation will be today from 1 until 6 at Thompson Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.
