Warren County voters who fall in the central district will choose a justice court judge in a runoff election Tuesday.
Incumbent James Jefferson faces former constable and Vicksburg police officer Rudolph Walker. They were the top vote-getters in the Nov. 2 general election, besting six other candidates on ballots. Jefferson, appointed to the bench last year, received 36 percent of votes cast. Walker, who served five years as constable in the district, got 19 percent.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nine polling places inside the city have voters in the central district, as do two subdistricts in the Culkin precinct. The county has a total of 22 precincts.
