Runoff voting ‘light’

Voting was predictably light at precincts deciding today’s runoff for justice court judge in Warren County’s central district, poll workers said this morning.
Just one vote was recorded at the American Legion precinct on Monroe Street, one of 10 of the district’s polling places — nine in the city limits.
“We might have 50 people and we might have none,” poll manager Marilyn Patterson said.
Turnout for the Nov. 2 general election, a federal midterm election cycle, hit nearly 40 percent in Warren County and was higher statewide than the last gubernatorial race, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.
