Phones, guns hot in Vicksburg burglaries

Five burglaries have been reported in the city since Wednesday, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

A Jimenez .25 caliber pistol valued at $150 and a Razr cell phone valued at $100 were reported missing around 10 p.m. Wednesday, from a home in the 900 block of Hillcrest Drive.

A Sanyo 42-inch, flat-screen TV valued at $450 was reported missing just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, from a home in the 2200 block of Wilson Street.

An Apple Ipod valued at $150 was reported missing from a 2001 Honda Accord in the 1600 block of Broadhill Drive, around 1 p.m. Sunday.

A Browning 20-gauge pump shotgun valued at $300 was reported missing from a home around 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of Ken Karyl Avenue.

A purse valued at $40 containing $205, and an LG Slider phone valued at $80 were taken from an unlocked Buick Century in the 100 block of John Allen Street.
