About 400 people turned out Tuesday night to watch as Vicksburg’s Patrick House became one of the three finalists in NBC’s “The Biggest Loser.”

It was House’s effort to celebrate his victory with the community that stood behind him as he dropped from 400 to 244 pounds.

“I thought this would be a good opportunity to pay it forward to the community,” House said. “I wanted to throw a party to celebrate Vicksburg being on prime-time TV tonight.”

House, who lives in Vicksburg with his wife, Bradley, and two toddler sons, hooked up with “The Biggest Loser” in June. After qualifying, he went to The Biggest Loser Ranch in California. After three months there, he came home to Vicksburg and was greeted by fans and TV cameras, the film from which was broadcast Tuesday night.
