Power was restored by noon Saturday to all Vicksburg residents who lost electricity Friday night during a severe storm that hit the area in the afternoon and lasting into the New Year.
“We have everyone back on that we know about,” Entergy spokesman Don Arnold said Saturday afternoon. “We always have a few that have not called in.”
He said Friday night that about 1,400 customers scattered across south county had lost electricity as winds picked up in a storm that dumped 2.4 inches of rain on the area.
Local officials said no injuries or major structural damages were reported in Warren County.
Sheriff Martin Pace said fallen limbs were reported across the county and a utility pole and trees were down on Warriors Trail, east of Mississippi 27.
Today’s weather is forecast to be sunny with highs in the 50s and lows in the 20s.
