Accountant tackles business boot camp

A partner of a Vicksburg accounting firm has completed a military-style business leadership camp designed by graduates of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy.
The three-day intensive course, finished by Nathan Cummins of May & Company, aims to help executives develop their management styles.
Cummins has been with May & Company since 2004 and oversees accounting, auditing and tax-related engagements, specializing in construction and contracting accounting. He lives in Clinton and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Mississippi State University.
He serves as a donor investments auditor for the United Way of West Central Mississippi, is a member of Parkway Baptist Church of Clinton and is treasurer of the Vicksburg Art Association.
May & Company, founded in 1922, has four locations — Vicksburg; Millport, Ala.; and in Louisiana, Lake Providence and Tallulah. Its Vicksburg affiliate is at 110 Monument Place.
